Nokia N9 Photos Leaked in China – Looks Like a Macbook

The Nokia N9 was leaked this morning on Baidu from China. It looks like a miniature Macbook! From the photos, we see a 4-row QWERTY keyboard, BV-4D battery, dual-LED flash, and Meego OS. No other info is available. What kind of camera? When will it come out? How much will it cost?

    Sort of glad I didn't pre-order the N8. I think I'll wait to see what this offers as I can't afford an N8 and an N9. I love the look of this device when it's closed. So crisp.

    I don't know about that. Nokia N8 is releasing next month. I'm *guessing* the N9 will probably come out a few months from now. Can't wait that long.

    I don't like the idea of a physical qwerty, BTW I can't wait some MeeGo device hit the marker, just hope 2 things:
    – Other terminal, not just from Nokia (Android docet)
    – Just one market for all, not OVI and AppUp and others

    The second in particular could be vital for MeeGo success.

    Really pumped for some MeeGo action but I will pick up the N8 when ever it comes out. I might keep the N8 for a year or so and wait for the new MeeGo flagship phone after the N9 that I think will be out between summer and the end of next year. Mostly because Symbian^3 seems to be really good and the N8 has some superb hardware. The N9 has nothing(so far) that makes me want it over the N8 apart from MeeGo.

    if you follow the link to where the pics were posted, there's a video that's honestly styled a bit more like a symbian foundation ad. can't wait for an official announcement so we can see exactly what's involved :)

    also definitely looks like a prototype, based on the plug and photos of the back.

    i dont like the look of the phone when the qwerty is slid out (the keys look fine) it looks really bland and almost 1980ish

    i think thats the same problem people had with the n97 when the kb was slid out

    they'll probably have some other colour though and then you won't notice it much

    if this had the same camera as the N8 i'd wait for this (and im sure Nokia knows that so they wouldnt put the same camera in to detract sales of the n8)

    Yep…I will be buying it immediatley on release….

    I was hoping that design was going to run MeeGo and not Symbian…..I won't buy a Symbian phone ever again after the N97

    I just hope MeeGo takes all the best parts of Maemo, such as the bling, the multitasking, the social intergration, and terminal access and ability to customize, and the app auto updates.

    Either way….I'm a sucker for punishment….and I will beta test their latest OS at my expense

    As I just feel like it, here what i'd dream the N9 to be:

    - A N8 in all aspects (with or w/o keyboard but not bigger than the N8 BUT:

    - high density super amoled (having tried both super amoled and ip4 high density they're both extremely good with different advantages and they're both a must have)

    - faster CPU (1ghz humming bird or similar) and more ram (512megs)

    - antishacking software for video recording (with the faster CPU that should work out)

    - meego, of course

    - plenty of the most used apps

    - open app market, easy root/tinkerable with (no protections)

    - rock solid flashing procedure (=unbrickable, since tinkering would be easy it's a must)

    I wouldn't care a lot for the amount of money if a device had all this

    well im STILL having daily problems with my n97 and regret jumping onboard the 1st day of release so not going to make the same mistake with the n9 (unless Nok are planning on giving a discount to tortured n97 owners!!)

    will wait to see what the initial response to this is after release and if it even slightly iffy then an htc desire z it is for me regardless of how pretty the n9 is

    N8 is still not released in the market and rumors of N9 comes out… when it will get released i think after 1 yrs…

    Ahh Hell.
    Finally a slimmed down N900.
    Okay, we´ve got here some serious heavy weight specs like 12 MP Camera, but who needs this anyway? 5MP is more than enough. 64GB is HUGE, but i like it ^_^
    And AMOLED or at least capacitive… hell yeah it was about time, don´t you think Nokia ?
    I just sold my N900 so now keep on making progress because i want to buy your N9 pretty Soon.
    Also consider that i don´t want to be kept in darkness if you plan on abandon this Device because people hate so spend a lot of Money into things which don´t get enough love ;-)
    What are her three sizes? any details on that?
    I know it´s stupid to wish for such a thing, but please release it on the market on early October when i got my Birthday so i can afford it for sure ^__^

    after closer inspection on the mother board of the n9 there doesnt seem to be a micro sd card on the n9 either……. same as the E7 this will be a big let down…even if does have the rumoured 64gb chip
