Nokia N8 Demo of Foursquare for Symbian

Nokia showed off their upcoming Foursquare app for Symbian phones at Nokia World 2010. Kee from Nokia got in front of our camera and used the Nokia N8 to give you a sneak peek. The app will be at the Ovi Store in a couple of weeks. It is compatible with Symbian^3 like the Nokia N8, Symbian^1 like the Nokia N97, and S60 3.2 like the Nokia E72.

The Nokia E7 is equipped with a 4-inch touchscreen display featuring Nokia ClearBlack technology for improved outdoor visibility and a full keyboard. It is marketed as the ultimate business smartphone.

Anssi Vanjoki Resigns from Nokia to Seek New Opportunities

Anssi Vanjoki, who heads Nokia’s Mobile Solutions unit, announced his resignation from Nokia this morning. He has six months notice period and will continue to do his best in his current tasks for the time being. Anssi is still scheduled at Nokia World to share news about new devices and solutions.

President of Microsoft Business Will Become Nokia’s New CEO

Stephen Elop has accepted the position of President and CEO of Nokia as of September 21st, 2010. Elop is currently the President of Microsoft’s Business Division, but will be leaving the company immediately. He will be replacing Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, who was Nokia’s CEO since June, 2006.
