Nokia N8 3G Speed Test: AT&T vs T-mobile USA

The Nokia N8 supports WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100. This means consumers in the USA can insert their AT&T or T-mobile SIM cards and enjoy fast 3G internet speeds. To confirm this works, I tested both SIM cards for a speed test. Take a look at the results.

The results show that 3G works on both T-mobile USA and AT&T. It also tells me that I should use the T-mobile SIM card in my area because it is faster than AT&T. GSM World has a nice coverage list for you to check the frequencies in your country/region.

    That’s faster than my At&t DSL connection at home. At&t’s 3g coverage is spotty in LA & Beverly Hills also. I may switch to T Mobile.

      Really happy with T-mobile in my area, but AT&T still has more coverage. I notice it quickly when I step out of NYC

    did u test it using the browser ? does that mean Flashlite is pretty good on the n8 ?

    I have gotten speed bursts over 8Mbps on my N900 with Tmo in my area (Atlanta). I am paying almost $50 a month for my ATT XTREME DSL and I only average 4Mbps………while I am paying Tmo 5.99 for unlimited internet with a N900 Max 10Mbps……..time to figure out a plan to eliminate ATT and replace it with Tmobile “wifi”….
