Cool HD Games From Gameloft for Your Nokia N8

A good way to start gaming with your new Nokia N8 is by searching the Ovi Store for games developed by Gameloft. The graphics look great and they’re fun too. You might want to download Avatar, GT Racing Motor Academy, Asphalt 5, and Guitar Rock Tour 2. Nokia just published some videos showing off these games. Take a look.

    Hmmm…

    A little disappointing, if you have to judge by the video. Its fast enough, but Asphalt 5 and GT Racing look a lot better on IOS and Android. (At least on my friends Desire)

    I know that the GPU is fast enough on the N8, so could it be because the N8 has a lower res. screen and older/slower CPU?

    Or could it somehow be QT/Symbian’s fault?

    What do you guys think?

      They haven’t even started making Qt games yet and Fanroids have started blaming Qt already.

        Funny you should call me a fandroid btw. With my current 6220 and former N97 and N95. You shouldn’t jump to comclusions, just because I research for myself, instead of believing everything I’m told :p

      I wrote QT/Symbian… So you think it’s the slower hardware and lower res screen? Guess it makes sense, that it would be considerably more choppy with a 640*360 resolution than with a 854*480 WVGA or 960*640 DVGA screen.
      Between close to half as many and two and a half times as many pixels.

      NHD=230,400 pixels
      WVGA=410,880 pixels
      DVGA=614,400 pixels

    nothing really new – everything already available for iOS and android devices … but they looked better, due to better displays !
