We previously told you how to get Swype on your Nokia N8 even though Nokia claimed it was only meant for the C7. Today, a version of Swype for the Nokia N8 is officially available at the Ovi Store. Just to be safe, uninstall the previous version before installing the new one.

If you need reminding, Swype lets you swipe your fingers over the letters to type instead of pressing them individually. It works really well after learning how to use it. Unfortunately at this time, QWERTY keyboard in portrait view is still unavailable. You can download Swype for the Nokia N8 here.
