Nokia E7 First Unboxing Video Found on YouTube

Get ready to be jealous! Despite all the talks about delaying the Nokia E7, the first unboxing video made it to Youtube thanks to user Franksyed. He said he got it from forum.nokia.com. I’m still searching the site to see how I can get it, too. In addition to the package contents, we see the Nokia E7 next to the vintage Nokia E90 communicator.

If you need a reminder, the Nokia E7 is a Symbian phone announced at Nokia World with a 4-inch CBD capacitive touchscreen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and more. It will be marketed as an ultimate business phone with an 8 megapixel camera.

  Seems to be just a smallish bedroom or maybe a dorm room. And that ‘table’ looks a nothing-special computer desk…Scandinavian, maybe (e.g.: IKEA).

Hmm. I’ve been concerned because Nokia has not used the word “Communicator” in conjunction with this phone. As an owner of all the previous communicators, I’ve been eagerly anticipating this phone, but it’s not clear to me now – and certainly this packaging doesn’t seem too high end either – that this phone is really the successor to the E90, or previous communicators, for that matter. I realize the packaging comparison may seem shallow, but the overall specs, the camera issues, etc. don’t seem to place this at any level higher than the N8.
