Nokia X7 Looking Very Official, Photos from all Angles

post thumbnail

Pocketnow got a handful of photos of the Nokia X7 which look very official. Keep in mind this device hasn’t been announced by Nokia yet. AT&T branding is prominently displayed on top of the phone. Just by looking at the photos, we can tell it has an 8 megapixel camera, dual-LED flash, and Symbian^3 OS with 4 homescreens (instead of 3). Photos after jump.

Deal: Nokia C6-00 for $199.99 at Amazon

If you’re looking to buy a feature-packed smartphone for a relatively low price, I suggest checking out the Nokia C6-00 which is currently being sold by Amazon USA for only $199.99. It’s unlocked and you don’t have to sign up for a 2-year contract with a carrier. Just put your existing SIM card in, and you’re all set. For comparison, the Nokia USA store is selling the C6-00 for $259.

Top 10 Downloaded Games at Ovi Store are Free

The official Nokia Conversations blog just listed the top 10 downloaded games at the Ovi Store for the new Symbian devices (Nokia N8, C7, C6-01). They’re all free, so this is a great list to check if you’re looking for new games on your phone. There were a few games I haven’t check out yet that I’m definitely going to download now. View the list after the jump.

Sorry for the lack of Nokia coverage from CES, but they didn’t announce any new products in Las Vegas. I took some awesome panoramic shots with the Nokia N8 while I was there though. Make sure to click on the photos to view them in larger size.

XpressMusic Media Bar Unofficially Ported to Nokia N900

post thumbnail

Nokia XpressMusic devices such as the Nokia 5800 or 5530 have a touch button on the top corner to bring up shortcuts to core apps. This functionality has been introduced to the Nokia N900 thanks to MohammadAG from the Maemo forums. The shortcuts are activated by holding the proximity sensor on the Nokia N900.

Qt-enabled Symbian Smartphone Heading to AT&T in Q1 2011

post thumbnail

Today, during AT&T Developer Summit at the Nokia Technical session in Las Vegas, Nokia announced two things. Number 1: Nokia extended the deadline for the $10M Calling All Innovators contest to March 31, 2011. Number 2: A new Qt enabled Symbian smartphone is coming to AT&T in Q1. They didn’t name or show this device, but my gut feeling says it will be the Nokia X7 that was leaked a couple of times already.

Reporting from Las Vegas, Nokia at CES

post thumbnail

I’m here in Las Vegas to check out the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, CES. It’s my first one, so I don’t really know what to expect. Any guesses on what new products or services Nokia will be showing off this week? One of my guesses would be the Nokia X7-00.
