Nokia Connection 2011, Nokia’s Biggest Event of the Year

Mark your calendars! Nokia is planning their biggest event of the year on June 21st. The Nokia Connection 2011 website claims a solid strategy is in place and the event is where the new Nokia ecosystem will be introduced first-hand to the world. We’ll assume they’re going to show their first Nokia Windows Phones.

According to the programme, Nokia Connection 2011 is an invite-only event taking place in Singapore. CEO Stephen Elop will speak about Nokia’s new strategy, including an update on the company’s partnership with Microsoft. Following after him is Executive Vice President of Mobile Phones Mary McDowell who will show brand new mobile devices.

I can’t believe the event is just a few weeks away. I’m definitely eager to see some new devices. Are you excited?!

    Yeah, it’s a jock by nokia as always to keep costumers hanging around, and few days before the date they extend it till next year to wast our time…after my nokia N97mini i em going for an’droid!!!!

    i’m curious, but not excited anymore. there were events, when i expected something great and new but nothing happened.

    even things that were announced are not available yet (such as anna), so i would not expect anything major, maybe another major announcement. :-(

      A single MeeGo phone will be floating belling up in the water from day one so who gives a shit? They can’t just launch ONE MeeGo device and expect it to be a success. Bloody stupid.

    Am I excited? No.

    Maybe if they announced WinCE/Windows Mobile Whatever had played up to the rest, DirectX made games on Windows Mobile better, OpenGL ES and native programming languages would be accepted, C# .Net, Silverlight or whatever outperformed the other playforms and so on.

    But I doubt I’ll see that?
