App Demo: 4squick for Symbian. Shown on Nokia N8
Here’s a quick look at a new Foursquare app for Symbian^3 devices. I’m using my Nokia N8 for this demo. It’s currently at version 0.650 with limited features but I see major potential. The app works fast and the UI is simple yet pretty. Take a look at the video before downloading it yourself.
Nokia US and UK Online Shops No Longer Open
June 30th, 2011. It’s the day Nokia US and UK closed down their online stores. You will no longer be able to buy directly online from Nokia in these countries, but don’t worry. Nokia devices will still be on sale at several online shops. Nokia recommends Amazon.
Nokia in Talks About Changing to Numbered Models: Nokia 600, 700, 800
I was initially tipped about this last week, but didn’t believe it until another very reliable source stepped forward with the same info. According to these persons in the know, Nokia is considering numbers again for phone models. There are talks about using Nokia 500, 600, 700, etc for upcoming phones later this year.

We’re big fans of the camera on the Nokia N8, but it looks like the Nokia N9 features a few things that will make cameraphone lovers want to consider the N9 as their next device. Nokia’s imaging expert Damian Dinning wrote some of the great things about the Nokia N9′s camera over at Nokia Conversations. I was clapping at the end of each paragraph.
Nokia Android Testing Device Leaked?
I’m really liking the Nokia N9′s MeeGo UI that I’m not even a little excited about this teaser photo of a Nokia N9 lookalike running Android Gingerbread. Engadget trusts the source and believes this is a Nokia testing device.
First Nokia Windows Phone Leaked on Video
This is too good to be a “leak.” The first video of a Nokia Windows phone just showed up . It has CEO Stephen Elop in it asking the audience to turn off their cameras and recording devices. The video comes from Technet which also had multiple cameras and direct feed access to the overhead display. Honestly, it looked produced by Nokia themselves. Take a look.
3 Sweden to Start Selling Nokia N9 Sept 23rd
We now have a solid release date for the Nokia N9 in Sweden. A press release from 3 announced the MeeGo device will be available for sale September 23rd this year. When the Nokia N9 was announced on Tuesday, CEO Stephen Elop said availability and local pricing will be announced closer to the sales start.

WHOA! This new video of the Nokia N950 actually shows a good looking device. Video is in a foreign language, but it doesn’t matter. Take a look at the Nokia N9′s cousin reserved for developers only, featuring a hardware QWERTY keyboard.
