Nokia N9 Press Shots Leaked

I was wondering when this will leak out. Official photos of the Nokia N9 are revealed earlier than its official announcement. We’re expected to learn more about the device in just a few hours. Take a look.

Nokia n9

Nokia n9 2

It looks like a slimmer and smoother version of the Nokia N8. PocketNow confidently says this is the Nokia N9 that will be announced at CommunicAsia 2011 and Nokia Connection in Singapore. What do you think?

Its that symbian anna or meego?

    • http://twitter.com/adnokr5 Adnan

MeeGo most likely. Also the interface looks just like what we saw in that leaked N950 teaser video

Its using the same icon style as Symbian Anna.  Nokia has done the same thing with past Maemo devices.

    Where’s the hardware keyboard? ARRGGHHHHHHH!!1!

Where the heck is the physical keyboard!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOO :’(

are the buttons touch sensitive like android

The N9 virtual keyboard has haptic touch response (like android). In fact the keyboard is similar to the iPhones, but with Haptic feed-back.  I was using an N9 2 days ago (27 June,2011) and I must say I am VERY impressed!

    This is the QWERTY-less version..

It looks really nice. The only down I can see is that it hasn’t got a hardware keyboard.

  • http://thenokiablog.com Mark Guim

There might be a variation with a keyboard, but I’m liking this design without one

    • AJ

      Mark!

is it true that the keyboard variation is JUST for the developers with one pictured the “consumer” version??

Прикольно! Нокиа спрашивает у нас это или нет Н9? или я не так перевёл;)

I can’t express with words how much i want this phone to be real.

I’ve personally never had a phone with a qwerty key board. When I tryed using a friends blackberry I was lost. All I need is a large screen and a good software keyboard, or a good T9 with good predictive text.

The QWERTY keyboard on BB is small. With a slider you have more space, but it also increases the phone’s size.
Having a QWERTY keyboard has more advantages for interactive apps like games. You could compete with handheld consoles. Today’s phones have a lot of horsepower. The N-Gage was a dumb phone trying to be a GameBoy Advance. Now we are in the era of OpenGL ES, advanced 3D hardware accelerators on mobile, multi-core… even PS Vita is a crippled smartphone.

    This is symbian or meego

Where is the Qwerty keyboard as shown in the so called ad leak a few weeks back?

The design surely looks nice, though I for myself would like a keyboard version better. But let’s first see what it really is before thumbing it up and down overall. So far, all I can say is “nice design”. ;-)

  • YoungTee

Looks like the N9 will be full-touch and the N950 will have the QWERTY…. I’m loving the design. It does look a lot like the Nokia U from last year sketches.

    Killer phone!!! :>

Hopefully Nokia gets their big break that they truly deserve today.

One question for Mark. Have you seen the leaked Lankku images from engadget?

Notice the two sensors on the prototype image?

One on the bottom left of the phone and another one on the lower right side of the phone.

It could very well be the front facing camera and the proximity sensor, but an odd location for both. Could they be Gesture control sensors? I mean why would Nokia make a bold statement that they’re releasing something Market Disruptive?

Why why why, why another Iphone replica. C’mon Nokia most users prefer the classic keyboard rather than a virtual keyboard where pressing the right key becomes cumbersome. The Nokia N950 was a classic phone lacked the fanfare.
