Nokia N950 First Hands-on Video

WHOA! This new video of the Nokia N950 actually shows a good looking device. Video is in a foreign language, but it doesn’t matter. Take a look at the Nokia N9′s cousin reserved for developers only, featuring a hardware QWERTY keyboard.

Here’s the video:

Here are some screenshots

It looks like the firmware of the Nokia N950 in this video does not support landscape view when the keyboard is slid open. The slider mechanism also reminds us of the slider on the Nokia E7. The N950 actually doesn’t look bad. Shame that you have to be a developer to get your hands on one. Should Nokia release this for the public?

Nokia should release it publicly, but I heard that it may have been blocked by carriers and that’s why Nokia can’t sell it.

    oh hell yeah!!!!!!!!!

i sooooo want!!! this would be the ulitmate phone for me. its a n97 that actually works and THEN some!!!!!!!!!

anyone else thinking that maybe this IS gona be released bearing seeing as its getting so much coverage just shortly after the release of its small brother?????

All these phones are TOO DARN BIG!! Can someone please give me a super duper phone with a 3.5″ screen or a 3.2″ screen that I can fit easily in my pocket and in my hand.

  • alex

It should definitely have been released as a device in it’s own right – it’s what so many people were hoping for. With more n950′s floating around surely that would also ultimately mean the development of more useful apps for the n9

This is a dream come true!!! Finally an upgrade for my N900!!! but is it too much to ask to have all the funky features of N9 AND a hardware keyboard???

A LOT of people would buy this phone. Go on Nokia, after the N9 release a nice MeeGo handset with hwkb.

The only reason I’m not buying the N9 is the lack of a qwerty-keyboard. So yes, Nokia should release it for general public.
