Nokia N9 First Actual Hands-on Photos from CNet
We’ve seen the official Nokia N9 photos and videos, but I prefer to see the raw photos and videos from other sources. It looks like CNet Australia has posted the first hands-on photos of the Nokia N9. This device keeps looking better every time I see it. Photos after the jump.
Nokia N950 Now Available for Developers (Updated w/ release notes)
We’re still excited about the Nokia N9 announcement, but another MeeGo device was launched silently today. To aid the speedy development of apps for the Nokia N9 smartphone, Nokia has produced a limited number of developer phones, the Nokia N950. The N950 isn’t available for purchase and can only be obtained through selected developer programs.

Rumours of MeeGo’s Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated
Hmmm… the official Maemo/MeeGo Twitter account just tweeted, “Rumours of my Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated.” Their previous tweet was from last December! Something is definitely up. This looks like another hint of a MeeGo announcement at the upcoming June 21st Nokia Connection event in Singapore.
6 European Countries to Launch Nokia Windows Phones First
Victor Saeijs, Vice President of Nokia Europe, carries an early prototype of their first Windows Phone, but he can’t show it off yet. He told the audience at the 2011 Mobile Telecompaper conference they would launch the first handsets this year in Netherlands, France, Germany, UK, Spain and Italy. What a tease!
Fire at Nokia’s Paint Unit in Chennai
A major fire broke out at one of Nokia’s factories in Chennai. The fire started from the paint unit according to the Economic Times. Fortunately, there were no reports of any casualties and that the situation was under control. We don’t know if this will cause delays in production, but the factory exports to more than 50 countries in South East Asia, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Apple Blogger Ditches iPhone For Nokia C3
Cult of Mac editor John Brownlee wrote he doesn’t need an iPhone anymore. He loves his new phone, the Nokia C3. He admitted that the C3 is a “pretty big step down from any iPhone,” and the device just sucks at Twitter, Facebook, browsing the web, and more. The reason he loves the Nokia C3 is that he does all of that stuff on his iPad. Point of the story? If you have an iPad, ditch the iPhone and get a cheap Nokia phone…
