Nokia Developer Forum Hacked

The Nokia Developer website was hacked earlier today. The discussion board was temporarily redirected to a page with Homer Simpson and a short message. The hacker responsible goes by the name of pr0tect0r AKA mrNRG.

Hacked

According to The Hacker News, this message was included under the image:

LOL, Worlds number 1 mobile company but not spending a dime for a server security! FFS patch your security holes otherwise you will be just another antisec victim. No Dumping, No Leaking!!

It seems Nokia was quick to remove the redirection. The page has been repaired, but you can see the mirror here. We don’t know if any developer accounts using the forums were compromised, but ubergizmo recommends changing passwords and the passwords of their other internet accounts if they are the same.

Update Simon from Techie Buzz says a portion of the database containing user names and password hashes (along with their respective salts) has been circulated and posted online. At least 11 accounts have had their password hashes posted online.
