Survey: Nokia Customer Loyalty in Decline
Businessweek cited a survey of 1,497 users in Europe and 987 in the US that showed a decline in Nokia’s customer loyalty. The survey found 63% of current Nokia users in Europe, compared to 74% last year, plan to buy another Nokia as their next device; 50% in the US. I’d like to ask the users again after Nokia World.

Strategy Analytics, the company in charge of the survey, plans to release a full report next week. Here are some bullet points mentioned by Businessweek:
- HTC Android devices have an 81 percent expected repurchase rate in Europe and 75 percent in the U.S.
- Research in Motion Ltd., maker of the BlackBerry, reached 72 percent in both regions.
- Samsung Android phones polled at 66 percent in Europe and 73 percent in the U.S.
- Nokia scored 23 percent user satisfaction for its Web browsers in Europe compared with 67 percent for Apple.
With Apple’s disappointing announcement of the iPhone 4S, I’m hoping the survey results will be different if taken again. Perhaps current iPhone 4 users will be interested in trying something new… like a Nokia Windows Phone. Is your next device going to be from Nokia?
