People Hub, My Favorite Windows Phone Feature

I know this isn’t a Nokia device but it has the same Windows Phone 7.5 software as the Nokia Lumia 800. During Nokia World, I was able to play with the Nokia Lumia 800 but had to return it right away. For this demo, I’ll use the Samsung Focus that Klout provided. The first thing that truly amazed me was the social integration within Windows Phone.

For example, most phones will show your contacts’ phone number and their photo. In Windows Phone, your friends’ info from Facebook, Twitter, and other services get pulled in. The integration is nicely done. You can see your friends’ photo albums like they were already live on your phone. You can see your friends’ recent status updates directly from the phonebook.

I’m not sure what it’s called but the “Me” card lets you see notifications from both Facebook and Twitter. It lets you update your status on both services in one place. You can also see your photo albums that were uploaded online.

I haven’t seen this kind of integration with other services from other mobile OS. The Windows Phone experience is different. There are more stuff to discover as I use this phone. I’ll have more videos to show you. We’ll try to acquire a Nokia device for these videos instead of Samsung!

Are you a Windows Phone user already? What apps should I install right away?
