Windows Phone Email Overview

I want to show Nokia users how the email experience is going to look when they finally get their hands on a Nokia device running Windows Phone. That could be the Nokia Lumia 800 or the Nokia Lumia 710. I’ve been a long time Nokia user, so that means I’ve been using Symbian for a while. Email isn’t really one of the strong features on Symbian. I think you’ll like the experience better on Windows Phone.

I love Linked Inboxes on Windows Phone. It lets you combine different email accounts into one inbox. I use 3 email addresses and all of them are Google accounts. Setup was easy.

The interface is simple and easy to use. New emails are colored blue and then turn grey after being read. Swiping to the other panels let you cycle through the unread, flagged, or urgent emails.

When creating new emails, I like that Windows Phone start listing your contacts as you type in the recipient field.

A tip that you might like is to tap to the left of the subjects. Checkboxes will appear so you can select multiple email.s You can then send these to trash or move to another folder.

I created this video so you can preview how Windows Phone is going to look on your future Nokia device. The experience will be similar on the Nokia Lumia 800 or the Nokia Lumia 710.
