Demo: SoundHound for Windows Phone

post thumbnail

SoundHound is another Windows Phone app I recommend. It’s free at the marketplace, so I suggest downloading it when you get the Nokia Lumia 800 or the Nokia Lumia 710. Here’s a video I shot to show you how SoundHound looks.

At Nokia World, the Senior Vice President of Developer and Marketplace at Nokia announced that they will be shipping 25,000 Nokia Lumia 800 devices to developers around the world. I think we may have found a photo of some of those Nokia Lumia 800 smartphones on the way to the developers.

I want to show Nokia users how the email experience is going to look when they finally get their hands on a Nokia device running Windows Phone. That could be the Nokia Lumia 800 or the Nokia Lumia 710. I’ve been a long time Nokia user, so that means I’ve been using Symbian for a while. Email isn’t really one of the strong features on Symbian. I think you’ll like the experience better on Windows Phone.

The Twitter integration in Windows Phone is great, but those who want more control should check out the Rowi application. I was told it’s the best Twitter app for Windows Phone. I don’t have a Nokia Windows Phone device for the demo, but I do have a Samsung Focus which will show how the app looks on the platform.

People Hub, My Favorite Windows Phone Feature

post thumbnail

I know this isn’t a Nokia device but it has the same Windows Phone 7.5 software as the Nokia Lumia 800. During Nokia World, I was able to play with the Nokia Lumia 800 but had to return it right away. For this demo, I’ll use the Samsung Focus that Klout provided. The first thing that truly amazed me was the social integration within Windows Phone.
