Nokia Gets $80 Million from Seiko Epson in Lawsuit Settlement
December 26th, 2011 • Mark Guim •
Seiko Epson announced on Monday that they’ve agreed to pay Nokia $80 million to settle a lawsuit in the US and UK. That’s like a nice little Christmas present for Nokia. The lawsuit was filed in 2009 relating to purchases of liquid-crystal displays.

Seiko Epson is a Japanese company and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of computer printers, information and imaging related equipment. Epson has denied liability, but because of the ongoing impacts of the lawsuits on its business and the expense of continuing litigation, the company has determined that settlement of the litigation is in Epson’s best interests.
