Here’s everything you need to know about the release of the Nokia Lumia 900 for AT&T. The Nokia Lumia 900 will be available on April 8th for $99.99. Pre-orders for the cyan or black versions start on March 30th. The high-gloss white version will be on sale beginning April 22nd.
Creative Studio by Nokia was just released in the Windows Phone Marketplace. It lets you take photos with live special effects, edit existing photos and also an option for panorama. It’s absolutely free, so there’s no reason not to try it. I made a video to show you how it looks on my Nokia Lumia 800.
Nokia’s head of design, Marko Ahtisaari, told Finnish magazine Kauppalehti Optio that he’s working on a tablet. In fact, he’s spending a third of his time on it. Nokia has not announced anything yet, so this is a little surprising. The report came from Reuters just days after another rumor that a Nokia tablet is expected in Q4.
I’ve always been a fan of Nokia’s cameraphones because it meant carrying one device instead of a point-and-shoot camera AND a phone. In regards to imaging, my favorites were the Nokia N93, N82, N86 8MP, and the N8. Nokia recently announced the 808 PureView which is going to be Nokia’s best imaging phone yet. I’ve played with the device at Mobile World Congress and was impressed especially with the technology behind it. There’s just one problem. It’s not a Windows Phone device.
Nokia has partnered with Mobile Monday NY this month to introduce developers to Windows Phone. Nokia will share their plans for the US market and focus on apps and developers. As an added bonus, Nokia will be giving away free devices to developers. No word on which model it could be.
There’s no doubt that Nokia is eventually going to release a Windows 8 tablet. The latest rumor pins it for a Q4 2012 release. DigiTimes reports a 10-inch tablet with a dual-core processor. The Verge says the processor will most likely be the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, which we previewed during CES.
