Nokia 808 Pureview Not Coming to North America
According to a recently discovered official Nokia developer page, the Nokia 808 PureView is going to launch globally except North America. This shouldn’t surprise anyone that follows Nokia news since Nokia’s US president told everyone months ago they’re going to stop selling Symbian phones in North America when Nokia Windows Phone devices launch.

The Nokia 808 PureView may have a killer camera, but it runs Symbian. The OS is not very popular in North America. Nokia now wants to focus on Windows Phone in the region. They’re planning exclusively to sell Windows Phone devices through traditional wireless carriers. North Americans who want to buy the Nokia 808 PureView will have to buy from retailers who will import the devices.
Need a refresher for the Nokia 808 PureView? Here’s a hands-on video I recorded at Mobile World Congress.
Are you going to buy the Nokia 808 Pureview or wait for a Nokia Lumia device with Pureview technologies?
