The Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) and Globe Telecom are running a contest that could get you a Nokia Lumia 610 and a trip to the beautiful beaches of Boracay. I just spent a couple of weeks there and absolutely loved it. To join, just make a video inviting people in a fun way to visit the Philippines.
Globe will announce a winner of a Nokia Lumia 610 every week on their Facebook page starting May 7th. One 3-day Boracay family package worth 50,000 PHP (about 1,185 USD) will be given away for the best video submitted for the entire campaign. Some of the submissions chosen by Globe and DOT representatives may be released and shown worldwide in a TV commercial.
Check out the sample video below and remember to have fun! For more details, check out the competition page on Facebook.
Philippines is the first country to get the Nokia Lumia 610. The Windows Phone device is the most affordable in the Nokia Lumia family. It features metallic edges, instead of the polycarbonate body on the Nokia Lumia 800 and 900. It comes in white, cyan, magenta and black, priced at 11,000 PHP.
The Nokia Lumia 610 will also be available in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam in the following weeks. The device will begin selling in other regions later this quarter.
