Nokia Philippines Host Ticket to Amazing

To help some bloggers and members of the media in the Philippines see some of the features of the newly launched Nokia Lumia devices, Nokia hosted an event called, “Tickets to Amazing.” Guests were treated to an adventure of their choice: Aqua, Appetizing, or Aero. Guests can share their photos or talk about their adventure using Nokia Lumia phones.

I was invited to the Aqua Adventure today and enjoyed a cool new experience. Guests were able to borrow a Nokia Lumia 610 or the Nokia Lumia 800. After a quick demonstration of the devices, our group went helmet diving. We walked underwater while 5,000 fishes and stingrays in the aquarium swam by.

Here are a couple of photos using the Nokia Lumia 800.

One feature that I noticed Nokia Philippines were pushing hard is that sharing on Windows Phone is fast. I definitely agree. You can also tag your Facebook friends directly on the phone before uploading. Take a look at some of the Smoked by Windows Phone videos to see the surprised faces of Android and iPhone users.

Both the Nokia Lumia 800 and the Nokia Lumia 610 were recently added to Nokia Philippines’ retail stores. The Nokia Lumia 610 costs 10,980 PHP (259 USD) while the Nokia Lumia 800 costs 23,500 PHP (555 USD). The Nokia Lumia 900 is also set to arrive later this month in the Philippines. I’m guessing it’ll be around May 18th.
