Camera Extras is now available for some Nokia Lumia owners. Luckily, I’m able to download it on my Nokia Lumia 900. This app will add 4 new options to your built-in camera settings. Take a look at the video.

Smart Group Shot
It will take 5 consecutive photos. Afterwards, you click on each of your friend’s face to select the best version. This makes it better for group photos, because there’s usually someone blinking or looking the other way.

Action Shot
Capture fast-moving action shots with just one click or hold the button for 8 consecutive shots. It’s not that fast, but a good option to have. The camera does not use autofocus in this mode.

Panorama
This new control feature makes it easy to capture panorama shots. Tap or press the button to start, but you must tap screen to end. It seems slower to stitch photos compared to Creative Studio (also made by Nokia).

Self Timer
Now, you can be in the photos too. Set it on a stand then press the button. The counter starts at 10 seconds. Listen to the sound to help you prepare your pose. The camera focuses on subjects at around 2 seconds.

I’ve already installed it on my Nokia Lumia 900 and Sheila’s Nokia Lumia 800. If you don’t see Camera Extras at the marketplace yet, Nokia promised it will be available to everyone in July.
