5 Reasons The Nokia Lumia 920 is Better Than the iPhone 5

The Apple iPhone 5 has been announced and the pre-orders already started. If you’re still undecided on buying the iPhone 5, here are five reasons to switch to the Nokia Lumia 920 instead.

Nokia Lumia 920 Has a Better Screen

The Nokia Lumia 920 has a 4.5-inch screen with 1280 by 768 pixels resolution. It is also super sensitive so you can you use it even with gloves on.

The iPhone 5 has a 4-inch display with 1136 by 640 pixels resolution. While the difference might not be obvious to the naked eye, the Nokia Lumia 920 has more pixels per inch (ppi) which means sharper than the ‘retina display’ on the new iPhone.

Nokia Lumia 920 Has a Better Camera

The Nokia Lumia 920′s camera has a new camera technology that’s not available on any other smartphone called Optical Image Stabilization. It will take better photos at low light conditions and record videos that are smoother while moving or panning.

Nokia Lumia 920 Has Better Colors

The Nokia Lumia 920 will be available in yellow, red, grey, white and black. The iPhone 5 comes in boring white or black.

Nokia Lumia 920 Has Better Chargers

The Nokia Lumia 920 features integrated wireless charging. There are a few accessories such as the Fatboy Recharge Pillow which you just rest the phone on to start charging. There’s even the cool JBL Wireless Powerup Charging Speaker where you can just rest the phone on top of it to start use the speakers while charging the phone.

The iPhone 5 has a new charging cable too, but it’s still wired. Wireless is the future.

Nokia Lumia 920 Has a Better OS

The Nokia Lumia 920 runs Windows Phone 8. It’s new. It’s refreshing. Icons are resizable and displays information without having to open any apps. The OS on the new iPhone 5 hasn’t changed much in the past few years, but you might like to know they added an extra row for icons.

I got one yesterday. Was looking forward to it for quite a while but was a bit dissappointed to see that BBC iPlayer was not available, nor were the other British TV stations offerings. Other than that though I do like the phone, especially the camera.
