We took a look at the Nokia Lumia 822 during the Windows Phone 8 event in San Francisco. The Nokia Lumia 822 has a 4.3-inch Clearblack display with Gorilla Glass, an 8 megapixel camera, HD front facing camera, wireless charging, and the new Windows Phone 8.
Nokia Lumia 822 Officially Announced
After several leaks, the Nokia Lumia 822 for Verizon is now official. The Windows Phone 8 device will be exclusive to Verizon Wireless and is compatible with their 4G LTE network. No word yet on the release date, but the price is expected to be $99 with contract.
Nokia No Longer a Top 5 Smartphone Vendor
According to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, the top 5 Smartphone vendors in the third quarter of 2012 (3Q12) were Samsung, Apple, RIM, ZTE, and HTC. Nokia has been in the top 5 since 2004 when the tracker started, but was just replaced by RIM.
Spotted: Nokia Lumia 920 Being Handled by Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba was recently spotted (NSFW link) with the Nokia Lumia 920. The phone has not been released yet, so we’re guessing it came directly from Nokia or AT&T. Let’s see if there’s going to be some kind of TV commercial featuring Ms. Alba in the near future. Check out the photos after the jump.
Nokia Lumia 822 Expected at Verizon November 12th
A confidential Verizon schedule map leaked today revealed the pricing and availability for the Nokia Lumia 822. The Windows Phone 8 device will be available in White, Gray, and Black for $99 (with contract) on November 12th.
Lumia Gets Even Cheaper with the Nokia Lumia 510
Nokia announced a new Lumia device today, the Nokia Lumia 510. It’s their most affordable Windows Phone yet. For about $199 USD without contract, you get a 4-inch display, 5 megapixel camera, and the Windows Phone 7.5 experience.
Video: Nokia Lumia 920 Price for AT&T Revealed by Best Buy
Over the weeked, Best Buy revealed the pricing for the Nokia Lumia 920 in the US for AT&T. The Nokia Lumia 920 will be available in yellow, red, white, cyan and black. The price is $149.99 with new 2-year contract and $599 off contract.
How to Get Nokia Maps Full Screen for iPhone and iPad
If you’re not happy with Apple Maps on the new iOS 6 for iPhone and iPad, you can try Nokia Maps. You can now get it in full screen too. Officially, it’s currently a web app that needs the web browser. The address bar and the navigation tab take up space on the screen.
