Nokia Completes Selling Vertu to EQT VI
October 12th, 2012 • Mark Guim •
Originally announced on June 14, 2012, Nokia have just finished selling Vertu to private equity group, EQT VI. Vertu is a retailer of luxury mobile phones that was an independently-run division of Nokia. About 1,000 employees transferred with Vertu as part of the transaction.

Nokia retains a 10% minority shareholding in the company.
Vertu’s phones sell from about $7,800 to much much more. These phones run Symbian and are treated as jewelry by their owners. The devices also come with concierge service which is free for the first year and about $3,000 annually afterwards.
I wonder if Vertu customers would be interested in a Windows Phone device?
