While the wife was shopping at Roosevelt Field in New York, I stopped by the Microsoft Holiday Store. The Nokia Lumia 920′s are hard to find right now, so I was surprised the store had them in stock in all colors. If you’re in New York and want a Nokia Lumia 920, go drive over there before they run out, too.
This is the phone that a lot of us have been waiting for. It’s the Nokia Lumia 920 and this is my review after using it for 2 weeks. To summarize this review, I think the Nokia Lumia 920 is the best Windows Phone 8 device out right now. The exclusive apps from Nokia like Nokia Maps, Drive, and Music make the Lumia 920 a better buy than the Windows Phone 8 devices from HTC or Samsung. The price is also too good.
Two new devices were announced today: the Nokia Asha 205 with QWERTY keyboard (and Facebook button) and the Nokia 206 with 47 days of stand-by time. Both will be available in single SIM or dual SIM versions at affordable price points. The two devices also introduces a new service from Nokia called Slam.
Just as we expected, Amazon is now selling the Nokia Lumia 920 at a discounted price. It is now $49 with a new 2 year contract, compared to $99 at AT&T stores. Buying it without a contract will cost more than usual though.
I had some battery issues with the Nokia Lumia 920 this week so I thought resetting the phone will fix the problem. It actually made things worse. It’s now stuck at the Nokia logo screen.
The latest update for Nimbuzz (version 1.1.1) on Windows Phone now supports Push Notification service. This means means Nimbuzz users will be informed immediately when they receive new messages from their friends. Nimbuzz lets you send messages via Facebook Chat, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger.
