The Nokia Lumia 620 was officially announced today. It’s Nokia’s most affordable Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphone. It will be available in a range of colors including lime green, orange, magenta, yellow, cyan, white and black. Read on if you want to learn more about this device.
The Nokia Lumia 620 features a 3.8-inch TFT Clearblack display with 800×480 resolution, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal storage, microSD card support, 5MP camera, LED flash, and 720p video recording.
The Nokia Lumia 620 uses a new dual-shot color technique which I think will be used in more upcoming Lumia devices. Dual-shot adds a second layer of colored, transparent or translucent polycarbonate on top of a base layer to produce secondary color blends and depth effects.
I’m very curious about this device for a couple reasons. How’s the performance compared to the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820? I also want to take a closer look at the new color technique. Cyan and Yellow combined to a make lime green sounds cool.
The Nokia Lumia 620 will begin selling in January 2013 in Asia, followed closely by Europe and the Middle East before expanding further. It is estimated to cost $249 USD, excluding taxes and subsidies.
