Updated Comments

Hey Nokia Fans! A quick heads up. We’ve changed the comments system so that you can now use your Twitter, Google+, Facebook, or Disqus accounts to sign in. Our previous comments system only allowed Facebook. Unfortunately, this change have deleted some of the older comments. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Assistant Secretary Posner and Ambassador Donahoe Host Roundtable Discussion with NGOs

To be more specific, we moved from Facebook Comments to Disqus Comments. We’ve also considered the built-in WordPress commenting system, Livefyre, and Instense Debate but decided to go with Disqus.

If you’re also blogging, which commenting system are you using? As a reader, which commenting system do you prefer?

I prefer Disqus but none are ideal. Funnily enough I was going to change the comment system on my site too and Disqus was what I was favouring. Let’s see who prefers what here- that can help me make my decision. http://mattthenokiaguy.com/

I looked at some of the bigger blogs and there’s no clear favorite. Mashable uses livefyre. TechCrunch uses Facebook. Nokia Conversations uses Disqus

Engadget used Disqus for ages but just recently switched to Livefyre. I wonder why they did that. I think you made the right choice with Disqus though, I’m switching to it from the WordPress commenting system soon.

The disqus, Mark. Although it loads later than the post, most of people still read or see the article then hovering to the comment section.
