The Guardian: 41 Megapixels Coming to Nokia EOS
Sources have told The Guardian that the 41 megapixel Pureview sensor will be on an upcoming Windows Phone device codenamed Nokia EOS. We’ve heard this rumor already, but it’s good to have another major publication chime in.

We were surprised when a 41 megapixel sensor was announced with the Nokia 808 Pureview. There were rumors of a Nokia N8 successor, but we did not expect the sensor to be so big. The large sensor helps with zooming without losing quality. It also makes images shot at 5MP or 8MP look better because of oversampling. You can learn more about this on the white paper.
When the Nokia Lumia 920 was announced, it had PureView technology, but not the same one found on the 808. Instead, the Nokia Lumia 920 featured Optical Image stabilization for incredible low light shots, and less blurry photos.
The Verge is already calling The Nokia EOS the first real PureView Windows Phone. We might learn more about this device at Mobile World Congress which is only a few weeks away. Are you excited?
