Analysts: Blackberry Z10 Off To a Better Start Than Nokia Lumia 920

A couple of analysts cited by All Things Digital believe BlackBerry’s Z10 is off to a better start than the Nokia Lumia 920. Their conclusion comes from checking with vendors in the UK over the weekend. Some store locations reported sell-outs, while others said they had only limited stock remaining.

Our recent store checks suggest that initial sales of the BlackBerry Z10 are off to a solid, if not healthy start in the U.K. We believe this is a function of strong sell-through versus limited sell-in. We believe BlackBerry’s Z10 is off to a better start than the Lumia 920. The solid initial demand is a positive step in our view, despite the number of challenges that remain.

All Things Digital noted it’s important to remember that these retail checks are preliminary.

The Blackberry Z10 is out now in the UK and Canada. It will be available in the US next month at all four major US carriers, while the Nokia Lumia 920 was launched exclusively at AT&T.

Who will be the third horse in this three-horse race? Blackberry or Windows Phone? Any Nokia fans thinking of switching to Team Blackberry?

It’s Nokia’s fault really. They limited the 920 availability by making exclusive the EE. And their reason for doing so just plain stupid

Exactly, thats the only reason I havent bought the lumia 920, I live in Ecuador where the Lumia 900 just started selling. So, like me there are thousands of people that wont be spending 500 USD each for that phone.

They cite sell-outs and low inventory remaining, so basically what thee arent saying is that each store got 1 blackburry, and either sold 1 or 0 phones, either way looks good for blackburry.
