A few days ago at our biweekly Los Angeles Tuttle meeting, Ms Jen brought along her new precious, the Nokia N8. She graciously let me play with it and while I was very impressed, I did find some concerns.
How Do Nokia Fans Feel About Windows Phone 7?
Microsoft joined together with more than 60 mobile operators in over 30 countries to reveal their first Windows Phone 7 handsets today. Some will start shipping later this month in Europe. Nokia N8 3G Speed Test: AT&T vs T-mobile USA
The Nokia N8 supports WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100. This means consumers in the USA can insert their AT&T or T-mobile SIM cards and enjoy fast 3G internet speeds. To confirm this works, I tested both SIM cards for a speed test. Take a look at the results.
My Nokia C6 Typing Challenge Entry for #NokiaBox
For our next #NokiaBox challenge, we were asked to submit our fastest time typing “The quick brown fox jumped over the NokiaBox,” using the touchscreen and the QWERTY keyboard on the Nokia C6. Behind the Scenes #NokiaBox Unboxing at Times Square
Today was certainly interesting. I received an email from WOMWorld Nokia to head over to Times Square for the mysterious #NokiaBox. I met up with Erick from Nokia Innovation in front of the Nokia Theatre at 1PM. Immediately, a guy wearing headphones and carrying a boom mic approached us and put wireless lav mics on our shirts. Across the street was a huge Nokia box. Erick and I realized they were going to film us do an unboxing in the middle of Times Square!
Getting Introduced to #NokiaBox
A small package came on Wednesday from WOMWorld Nokia. I almost missed delivery, but DHL was determined to get it in my hands right away. There was a small box with nothing but a USB drive inside. It contained a video that told me to prepare for something big on the 17th. Seven other bloggers are participating in this mysterious campaign. It is being tagged as #NokiaBox.
Nokia N97 Mini vs Nexus One Camera at USA vs Brazil Game
My current workhorse is the Nokia N97 mini, but I also haven’t been able to leave home without the Nexus One. I had both phones during the football game between USA and Brazil, so I figured you might like a quick camera test. Here are photo and video samples for you to judge.

They will be offering some pretty exciting offers on some of Nokia’s latest devices but it requires you to have a quick eye. Study: Smartphone Owners Abandoning Nokia for Lack of Apps & Poor Quality OS
YouGov, a research company in the UK, reported some very worrying news for Nokia. During the month of June, they found only 33% of smartphone users will consider getting a Nokia as their next device and only 10% expect to purchase Nokia. When asked if they are likely to recommend a Nokia device to friends, only 12% said yes. Apple, on the other hand, has a 70% recommendation score.
