Word on The Street: Nokia Windows Phone Delayed
Not sure if I believe this report, but Scott Moritz from The Street is saying the Nokia Sea Ray Windows Phone device is being delayed to next year. “No Windows Phone for Nokia in 2011,” Moritz says. “Investors looking for a quick turnaround might not see it.” He can’t confirm this yet, but he says it wouldn’t surprise him.
Nokia Vietnam Counts Down to October 1st for Nokia N9
There’s a countdown on Nokia Vietnam’s page for the Nokia N9. Correct us if we’re wrong, but it looks like it will hit zero at 9AM October 1st, 2011. The page is based on Flash, so it’s hard to simply forward to Google for translation. Please let us know in the comments if you know what Nokia’s telling their Vietnamese visitors.
Australia Gets the Nokia N9 Plus Extras in October
The Nokia N9 will be hard to find for most of us, but not the Australians. We told you earlier this month that the Nokia N9 will be sold through all their major carriers and retailers. We also now have more details on what extras the Australians will get depending on where they buy their Nokia N9. So lucky!
Murtazin: Only 92,425 Units of Nokia N9 Made
A lot of us are complaining that our countries aren’t getting the Nokia N9. Perhaps a tweet from insider Eldar Murtazin might shed some light. He shared earlier today that Nokia has only produced 92,425 units of the Nokia N9 including prototypes. For comparison, Apple sold 3 million iPhone 4 units in just 3 weeks.

Manager Resigns Over a Nokia Windows Phone Tweet?
According to GeekWire, the Windows Phone manager who tweeted about an unreleased Nokia Windows Phone supposedly resigned after learning that he would be let go for improper use of social media and disclosure of confidential information. Microsoft has confirmed that Joe Marini, principal program manager for the Windows Phone web platform, no longer works for the company.
Demo: Swype for Symbian 2.0 Beta
Swype for Symbian got updated to 2.0 and it’s available now at Nokia Beta Labs. The most obvious change is support for portrait and split-screen for devices with Symbian Anna. Here’s a demo of this awesome keyboard on my Nokia N8.
