Don’t lose hope. An official Instagram app is still planned for Windows Phone. It might not come out anytime soon, though. In an interview with Fast Company, Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom said “We’re not yet on Blackberry or Windows Phone, so I think those will come before Google Glass.”
Project Tripod is an app that is being developed to allow you to use your device to take a snapshot of the same person, place or object over an undetermined length of time to produce creations such as a time-lapse or blend. The team behind the app won funding from AppCampus which offers grants to startups to help support their efforts to build compelling Windows Phone apps.
The Nokia Asha 501 will start selling this week in Thailand and Pakistan, with availability in India soon to follow. It’s first of a new generation of Nokia smartphones to run on the new Asha Platform. It is available for 99 USD before taxes and local subsidies.
While I enjoy using Lumia devices for tweeting, browsing the web, taking photos and playing games, Nokia believes their Lumia family of smartphones are also the world’s best business phones. They’ve uploaded a few videos about people who use smartphones for their work. Take a look.
