Nokia N82 Firmware Updated to Version 11.0.117
The Nokia N82 firmware was updated today to version 11.0.117. The changelog shows nothing significant, but I was surprised that even when I backed up all my installed applications and contacts, no data was lost after the update. Previously, I had to reinstall everything. The Nokia N82 was updated on my Mac using VMware Fusion running Windows XP.
The Nokia N95 8GB NAM Is Expected by Mid January
According to my distributor, I’ll be able to get my hands on the Nokia N95 8GB NAM by mid January. When I first heard about a North American Nokia N95 8GB from Devin at the Nokia Guide, I thought it was a mistake. However, another dealer confirmed the Nokia N95 8GB NAM by putting a pre-order online and I contacted my distributor just to make sure. So here we go, another Nokia N95 variant is coming. I will also be selling it at the Nokia blog store so keep a lookout.
Vlog Exclusive: Nokia N82 Product Manager Q&A Session
At the launch of the Nokia N82 today at the Nokia House HQ, I had the opportunity to talk directly with the product managers responsible behind the the new phone. I set up my Nokia N95 on the Nokia DT-22 tripod on the conference table and recorded the whole session. I omitted some things to make the video short, but it still ended up to be around 23 minutes.

Video: Control The Nokia N95 Music Player With a Shake
The Nokia N95′s accelerometer is put to test by another developer using the built-in music player in the Nokia N95. I received a video response to my accelerometer video on YouTube showing someone controlling music by shaking the Nokia N95. Useful? Maybe. Cool? Definitely!

I made a short video showing the Nokia N95′s accelerometer. After months of owning the Nokia N95, I’m surprised this phone had it! You might be familiar with this technology from watching the iPhone commercials where the screen automatically changes when you hold it sideways. This is such a cool feature, I don’t understand why Nokia haven’t fully integrated it with the phone yet. Check out the video.

Nokia is Flying Me Over to Los Angeles!
Nokia is flying me over from New York to Los Angeles next week, September 27th, for a mansion party for being a blogger! I didn’t want to announce this until everything is confirmed, but they sent the plane tickets and hotel confirmation yesterday. I think the party will be related to the announcement of the Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N81, and the new music service. I can’t wait.
