Nokia is hosting an event in Manila on May 18th for the new Nokia Lumia devices. The flyer says, “club experience in a new light,” which hints a light show possibly be similar to the events held in London and New York. I’ll be around to cover the event. Flyer after jump.

Social Birthday Tile uses your Facebook account to figure out which friends of yours have birthdays this week and show it on a live tile! In the app itself, you can go and post on your friend’s wall using message templates. You can see how it works on my Nokia Lumia 800.

Typing this now from the airport as I head over to Manila to attend the Lumia launch parties in Manila, Philippines. Globe will be launching the Nokia Lumia 800 tonight, while Smart will be launching the Nokia Lumia 710 tomorrow night. Event flyers after the break.

Nokia’s imaging head, Damian Dinning, just confirmed on Twitter that a built-in panorama mode for the camera on Nokia Lumia 800 is on its way. While you wait for Nokia to release the official app, you can grab a third-party app right now for Windows Phone called Pano.

Want the Nokia Lumia 800 Entertainment Bundle, but don’t live near a Microsoft retail store? Well, now you can buy it at the Microsoft online store. It’s available in Black or Magenta for $899. It’s an insane price, but doesn’t seem so bad if you actually calculate the total cost of buying the devices in the bundle separately.
