Nokia N900 Price Drops to $582.99 on Amazon

The Nokia N900 has only been on Amazon for a few days, but that doesn’t stop the online superstore from lowering the price already. It started at $649, dropped to $589, and now for preorder at $583. I can’t find it anywhere else for a lower price.

The Nokia N86 NAM has finally hit the US! It’s no longer a preorder on Amazon. It is available for $469. If you live near the Chicago or New York flagship stores, they also have it there for $499 USD plus tax. I know a lot of you have been waiting for this, but is it too late?

I’m not sure why Nokia made US residents wait for so long, but it looks like the Nokia N86 is almost here! The US Flagship stores recently published on Facebook the 8MP cameraphone is coming soon, and Amazon just posted the pre-order page with a $469 price tag.

The initial shipping date given to a major US distributor by Nokia was August 22nd, but it seems to have been pushed back. Since then, devices like the Nokia N900 and N97 mini have been announced at Nokia World early September. Will that discourage potential Nokia N86 NAM buyers?

Nokia N85 NAM Available Next Week

Amazon now lists the North American Nokia N85 as being in stock on December 6th! Does that mean other retailers are getting them soon? The Nokia N85 is my current favorite phone. You can read the first part of the Nokia N85 review before deciding to add it to your cart.

I’ve been happily using the Euro version of the Nokia N85 for a month now, but because of the frequency specs, I can still use the fast 3G network from AT&T here in New York. The North American version coming out next week will come with USA warranty in case something breaks.

If you don’t know by now why I favor this phone over the current flagship Nokia N96, read the 5 reasons why the Nokia N85 is better than the N96.

I’ll show you a useful trick to save 5% on your next Nokia phone if purchasing from Amazon. The idea is to trick Amazon into thinking you own an accessory related to the phone you want and Amazon will generate recommended products in the Gold Box each day that are priced 5% off. So instead of paying $489 for the Nokia N95-3, you pay $465.

Steps

Create/Login account to Amazon.
Search for an accessory to the phone you want. For example: Nokia N95 Leather Case.
Scroll down the product page and mark the “I own it” box.
At the top of the screen, click on Recommendations.
Go through the list of recommended items and click “Not Interested” for the ones that aren’t related to the Nokia phone you want.
Check your Gold Box and scroll down to “Quick Picks” every day until the phone you want shows up.
