When Nokia finalized selling off Vertu a few days ago, there were rumors that Nokia’s former executive Anssi Vanjoki would be named CEO. The rumors were not quite right. In a press release today, Vertu announced Perry Oosting will continue as the chief executive of Vertu.

Anssi Vanjoki, Executive VP of Markets for Nokia, said on Tuesday that cameraphone technology in the very near future will revolutionize the market for DSLR cameras. “There will be no need to carry around those heavy lenses,” said the Nokia exec according to Reuters. That is a bold statement that is hard to believe and I doubt it’s possible.
