Here’s a look at a beta version of 6tagram, an Instagram application for Windows Phone. It’s really GOOD! The beta version is updated frequently, so the final version may have more features. It is expected to release at the Windows Phone store very soon.
A few months ago, a better-looking version of Facebook for Windows Phone was released. It was labeled beta and only enthusiasts who knew the direct link were able to download it. That changes today. The app is now available at the Windows Phone store.
Don’t lose hope. An official Instagram app is still planned for Windows Phone. It might not come out anytime soon, though. In an interview with Fast Company, Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom said “We’re not yet on Blackberry or Windows Phone, so I think those will come before Google Glass.”
Project Tripod is an app that is being developed to allow you to use your device to take a snapshot of the same person, place or object over an undetermined length of time to produce creations such as a time-lapse or blend. The team behind the app won funding from AppCampus which offers grants to startups to help support their efforts to build compelling Windows Phone apps.
Twitter application for Windows Phone, Rowi, was just updated to version 3.4. There are 2 new features that I’d like to mention. You can now receive tweets instantly inside of Rowi. No need to click a refresh button or pull-down to refresh. You can now also receive push notifications instantly. No more delays in getting notified of mentions, retweets, follows, or favorites.
