Nokia was really cool with showing us some Nokia Lumia 920 camera tests and demos from the Windows Phone 8 event in San Francisco. In this post, I’ve included 4 videos. Take a look.
I got to play with a Nokia 808 Pureview at a Nokia store in Kuala Lumpur. I like shooting videos, so I checked out the zooming capabilities of the camera while recording. Video after the jump.
Those interested in the Nokia 808 PureView for its camera might also want to check out the Sony RX100. What makes the Nokia 808 PureView stand out from existing cameraphones and point & shoot cameras is its large sensor. However, the new pocket camera from Sony is now slowly making it to retailers’ shelves with even a larger sensor and a lower price.
Camera Extras is now available for some Nokia Lumia owners. Luckily, I’m able to download it on my Nokia Lumia 900. This app will add 4 new options to your built-in camera settings. Take a look at the video.
Pocketnow received the user manual for the Nokia 803 which includes an illustration of the device. They think it could be the next imaging flagship from Nokia which upgrades the Nokia N8. My eyes are telling me the screen is about 3.2 inches. Photo after the jump.
Nokia is suing Shanghai Huaqin Telecom Technology Co Ltd, one of China’s top cellphone design companies, for infringing its patented method of covering the lens when the phone is not in use. Nokia wants the Shanghai company to stop producing and selling the offending products. Nokia also demands 10 million yuan (US $1.55 million) as compensation.
Remember when Nokia posted they have the fastest camera on any phone? HTC doesn’t agree. They tweeted last Saturday the HTC Sensation’s camera is the quickest draw. The tweet links to a video of the device capturing a photo in about 2.2 seconds (versus 2.6 on the Nokia N9). The article even claims of getting results faster than 2 seconds.
