If Nokia Goes Android, Can They Differentiate with Amazing Cameras?
After listening to several sources, it’s very unlikely that Nokia is going to adopt Android. One of the main reasons was there’s no way to differentiate among other manufacturers already using the Android platform. I asked my Twitter followers last night if Nokia can differentiate with their amazing Carl Zeiss cameras (like the one on the Nokia N8). I got some interesting replies. Take a look.

Here’s a video of Dr. Hubert Nasse of Carl Zeiss talking about the camera module included in the new Nokia N8 smartphone during Photokina 2010 in Cologne. He says that the Carl Zeiss lens inside the N8 are made out of 5 single optical elements with complex shapes never seen before in large scale optics. This results in excellent image quality. Sony Ericsson announced a 12mp camera phone and Samsung blasted the doors open with an HD capable phone expected later this year. Nokia’s response at MWC was an 8MP cameraphone called the Nokia N86 which they claim to be the most advanced imaging device. If you feel that is inadequate, don’t worry.
