Nokia is launching a global crowdsourcing campaign to find a new version of the Nokia Tune. The competition starts today and entrants have 4 weeks to enter their compositions. Five runner-ups will be awarded $1,000 USD, while the winner will be awarded $10,000 USD. Nokia is looking for a tune that is fresh, expressive, original, and creative yet distinctively a Nokia Tune.
Create a How-to Video, Win a Nokia E7
@NokiaCareUS just kicked off a contest that can get you a Nokia E7. All you need to do is create an original video with “How To” tips on using services and features found on your Nokia handheld device, or on correcting problems with your Nokia handheld device. This is open to the United States only.

Have you checked out Nokia’s Youtube channel lately? They’re currently headlining the Nokia E7, but what I really like are the short films they’re showing about redefining success. So far, there are stories from a beekeeper and a wrestler. You should watch them. Nokia is also asking for your success stories. If they like it, you could get rewarded up to 10,000 Euros!
Think of New App Ideas, Win Trip to Austin TX During SXSW
Here’s another lovely contest for you to win thanks to Nokia. Suggest a brand new idea for a mobile app and if your idea is selected by the judges, you win a trip to South By Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. Submissions can be short essays (50 words minimum) or a video (shorter than 3 minutes). This contest is only open to residents of the United States.
$10M Calling All Innovators Contest Loaning Nokia C7′s to Developers
Last September, Nokia and AT&T jointly announced the $10 million Calling All Innovators contest. It’s a competition for developers to create new applications and games for the Nokia N8 and future Nokia devices for consumers in the U.S. and Canada. There’s still time to enter and they just launched a loaner program so developers can test their apps on a Nokia C7.
Guess Where’s Santa, Win a Nokia N8
The Ovi by Nokia team is giving away Nokia N8′s over the next two weeks. They’ll show you a photo of Santa each day and you have to guess which capital city he’s in. There will be hints provided. I’ll help you out today, but you’re on your own afterwards. Today, he’s in Helsinki.

The Ovi Daily App is hosting their second annual “Must-Have App of the Year Awards,” where you can vote for your favorite mobile apps from the past year in six different categories. What’s in it for you? The person who correctly predicts all six of the winning apps will be eligible to win a new Nokia N8, loaded with the six winning applications. Voting is open December 15th -31st.
Nokia N8 x Tron: Legacy Trailer Projected at Nokia Theater LA
As if there wasn’t enough hype for the upcoming Tron: Legacy movie, a projection on the side of Nokia theater LA shows a trailer along with the Nokia N8. It’s part of a promotion by Nokia called the Inside Track in the LA area. They are giving away tickets to an early screening and even a Nokia N8 device.
