Creative Studio by Nokia was just released in the Windows Phone Marketplace. It lets you take photos with live special effects, edit existing photos and also an option for panorama. It’s absolutely free, so there’s no reason not to try it. I made a video to show you how it looks on my Nokia Lumia 800.

I can talk to Damian Dinning, Nokia’s head of imaging experience, about cameras for hours, but edited this video down to just 5 minutes. In this video, he talks about the PureView Technology that was introduced in the Nokia 808 PureView. PureView is the combination of high performance optics, high performance sensor, and Nokia industry-leading image processing algorithms.

Nokia Asha 202 First Look at MWC 2012

We’re live at Mobile World Congress and got a look at the Nokia Asha 202. It features Dual SIM Easy Swap technology with dedicated SIM manager to personalize the phone and save up to five SIM cards with unique information. It has a 2-megapixel camera, music player, FM radio, Nokia Browser, and Bluetooth connectivity, and can handle memory cards up to 32GB.

This is relevant to the mobile space in that it improves the water resistance and fingerprint resistance.

Nokia 808 PureView hands-on

We get a first look at the Nokia 808 PureView during Mobile World Congress. It has a whopping 41 megapixel camera. It’s not all about megapixels though. Out of the box, Nokia turns on PureView mode which lets you shoot 3MP, 5MP, or 8MP. This gives the Nokia 808 the ability to zoom without loss of clarity and capture pixels of information, condensing into one pixel for the sharpest images imaginable.
