Nokia Privately Paying Windows Phone Developers

According to a recent CNN article, Nokia is privately dispensing cash to developers to make apps for Windows Phone. They’re also offering incentives like pre-installing developers’ software on upcoming phones and marketing their products. CNN says such payments from phone manufacturers are unusual.

Nokia Developer Forums Taken Down to Investigate Security Breach

We told you earlier that the Nokia Developer forum was hacked. Nokia addressed the problem immediately and initially stated that only a small number of member records had been accessed. However, a recent email sent to forum members says the number is significantly larger. Nokia has now taken the developer community website offline as a precautionary measure while they conduct further investigations and security assessments.

Intel Giving Away Lots of Cash, Trip to Antarctica, Jet Flight & More for MeeGo Developers

Intel is currently offering several incentives for developers to create MeeGo apps. The prizes look very interesting. How does a trip to South Pole sound? $10M Calling All Innovators Contest Loaning Nokia C7′s to Developers
