A Nokia spokesman told Reuters it is business as usual, but Nokia has cut the prices of its smartphones in Europe. The steepest cuts of around 15 percent were made on prices for the company’s flagship model, the N8, the multimedia phone C7, as well as the business user-targeted E6. The scale of the price cuts across the portfolio is unseen for a very, very long time according to Reuters’ sources.
The next Nokia Symbian device I’m interested in is the Nokia E6. I’m curious about the touch-and-type form factor. Since I like to take photos with my phones, I wanted to see how the camera performs. Surprisingly, there are already a bunch of sample photos on Flickr. Take a look.
The Nokia Event in Athens on May 17th is not when Symbian Anna comes out for your device. May 17th is not is not when Nokia shows off a Windows Phone. According to a tweet from Mark Squires, Director of Social Media for Nokia, it’s the local launch for the Nokia E6 and X7. Disappointed?
Engadget got a couple of photos of what their source describes as the Nokia E6. It looks like the Nokia E73, E72, and E71. It’s not exactly what I pictured in my head, but the infamous mobile insider Eldar Murtazin tweeted it is the real deal. Take a look and sound off what you think.
Engadget discovered the User Agent profile for the unannounced Nokia E6-00 and found something interesting. They noticed the screen resolution to be 640×480, also known as VGA. This is odd because many of Nokia’s touchscreen devices have 16:9 ratio like 640×360 on the Nokia N8. A VGA screen has 4:3 ratio and is slightly wider.
