Nokia E72 in Amethyst Purple Now Available at Nokia Flagship Store NY
The amethyst or purple Nokia E72 just arrived at the Nokia Flagship store in New York. It supports the 3G frequencies for 850/1900/2100 MHZ UMTS so you can enjoy fast 3G speed on AT&T. I just checked, and it’s not available in NokiaUSA.com or other online vendors in the US yet.
Nokia Friends & Family 40% Sale at the US Flagship Stores Dec 18-20th
Up to 40% discount will be available for the Nokia N97 mini, Nokia 5800 Nav Edition, and the Nokia N900 on December 18th until the 20th. The participating stores include the New York and Chicago flagships as well as the pop-up location at Queens Center Mall in New York City.
Nokia To Close NY and Chicago Flagship Stores Early 2010
A Nokia spokesperson just told us that the NY and Chicago flagship stores are closing in early 2010. The official decision was made to “create clear alignment with our local market strategy and in addition, as part of a global realignment of Nokia’s retail strategy.” The Flagship stores opened their doors in 2006. Nokia N900 Starts Selling… For Real
If you left your name and phone number with the Nokia flagship store in New York for the Nokia N900 waiting list, they have started contacting those on the list to go buy it at the store. It’s being sold for $569 plus NY tax. Unfortunately, I was told on the phone tonight that it’s not available for sale to the public because the waiting list is already full.
Nokia N900 Available at Nokia NY Flagship Store… For Play
The Nokia NY flagship store told their fans on Facebook that a Nokia N900 prototype is now available for everyone to play with. Don’t get too excited as it’s not for sale yet. Why not use it a bit before making a purchase decision? They are taking names and numbers for people who want to be notified when it is officially out.
Nokia/S60 Users Meetup at NY Flagship Store September 18th
Nokia fans in the NYC vicinity on September 18th should check out the Nokia NY flagship store at 6:30PM. Bring whatever shiny new mobile phone you have been playing with and show it off at the meetup. I was told the Nokia N900 will make an appearance!
Nokia USA Flagship Sale May 16-17th – Nokia E75 for $429
The Nokia Flagship Stores in the US are holding their semi-annual sale on May 16th and 17th. Accessories and service packs are 25% off while devices in stock will be 20% off with the exception of the Nokia E75. It’s a good exception because it will be $100 off instead. Oh, and by the way, there’s a $50 mail-in-rebate to make the deal even sweeter.
New York Flagship Store Takes Nokia 5800 NAM Off Shelves Amidst Reported Issues
I went to the New York flagship store this afternoon to look for the Nokia 5800 NAM. Unfortunately, I was told it was no longer available for purchase because of reported issues. I’m guessing it’s about the complaints of not getting 3G signal. A sales associate told me Nokia is trying to figure out what’s wrong. In the meantime, you can leave your number with the store, and they’ll call when it is back on the sales floor.

There is a jar next to my Mac, so far with 62 euros, waiting for Nokia to grab it from me somewhere around April. I’m confident that I’ll raise the money for the Nokia N97 – but is Nokia confident that it will be able to separate me from my 550 EUR?
New York City Nokia/S60 January Meetup at the Flagship Store
Its time to get out from behind your computer and interact with people in the real world. What better way to do that than to meet some of your fellow phone fanatics. January 23rd will be the next New York S60 Users meetup. We will be meeting at 6:30pm at the Nokia Flagship Store. Once there, we will likely be on the second floor.
