Vertu: Nokia’s Luxury Division Continues to Succeed
We’ve been hearing bad news about Nokia’s marketshare, but did you know their luxury division, Vertu, continues to succeed? According to Businessweek, Vertu has seen “high double-digit sales growth” since the beginning of 2010. While Nokia cut 7,000 employees to reduce costs, Vertu’s staff increased by over 50 percent since 2009.
Nokia N97 Mini Gold Edition Expected in 2nd Quarter
The Nokia N97 mini covered with 18-carat gold casing is going to be available in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia around April this year. Inside is the same N97 Mini we’re already familiar with. It looks great, but the price according to the Nokia Poland press release is 2499 PLN which is equivalent to about 625 Euros.
Nokia 6700 Classic Gets Covered in Gold
The Nokia 6700 classic Gold Edition will go on sale in selected markets early next year. It’s got an 18-carat gold finish and I’m glad there are no diamonds or crystals to make it look tacky or even more expensive. Nokia has released photos for your viewing pleasure.
