The UK’s first mobile 4G network, EE, just showed off some of the 4G-enabled devices that will be supported. The Nokia Lumia 820 and Nokia Lumia 920 are part of the group. 4G LTE will cover 16 cities in the UK by the end of 2012, promising downloads five times faster than 3G.

Paul Thurrott, the guy behind winsupersite, just shared Microsoft’s LTE plans for Windows Phone. Paul says all will be officially announced at CES. He reports that the Nokia ACE will ship on AT&T on March 18th, 2012. Could that be the device we’ve all been calling the Lumia 900?

Nokia is currently testing 4G LTE versions of its Lumia 800 smartphone for AT&T and Verizon according to a report from CNET. Windows Phone doesn’t yet officially support LTE and carriers test many devices that don’t make it to retail, so don’t expect it anytime soon. I’m a fan of the download and upload speeds on 4G LTE, but concerned about battery life.
