We took a look at the Nokia Lumia 822 during the Windows Phone 8 event in San Francisco. The Nokia Lumia 822 has a 4.3-inch Clearblack display with Gorilla Glass, an 8 megapixel camera, HD front facing camera, wireless charging, and the new Windows Phone 8.
Nokia Lumia 822 Officially Announced
After several leaks, the Nokia Lumia 822 for Verizon is now official. The Windows Phone 8 device will be exclusive to Verizon Wireless and is compatible with their 4G LTE network. No word yet on the release date, but the price is expected to be $99 with contract.
Nokia Lumia 822 Expected at Verizon November 12th
A confidential Verizon schedule map leaked today revealed the pricing and availability for the Nokia Lumia 822. The Windows Phone 8 device will be available in White, Gray, and Black for $99 (with contract) on November 12th.
Nokia Lumia 920 & 820 Confirmed for Vodafone Germany November 1st
Approximately 2 weeks from now, the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 will be sold in Germany at Vodafone shops. The November 1st date was revealed at Vodafone’s Facebook page. Pricing was not shared by Vodafone, but Nokia Germany’s suggested prices are 649 EUR for Nokia Lumia 920 and 499 EUR for the Lumia 820 without contract.
Nokia Lumia 822 for Verizon Leaked
We’ve seen one clear photo of the Nokia Lumia 822 before (as the Nokia Atlas), but now there are a couple more. WMPU got their hands on the first actual photos of the Verizon-exclusive Windows Phone 8 device. I’m not really liking the color, but maybe more photos will change my mind.
Nokia Atlas for Verizon Leaked, Nokia Lumia 820 Variant
Notorious leaker @evleaks just ousted the Nokia Atlas for Verizon. It appears to be a Nokia Lumia 820 variant (just like the Nokia Lumia 810 for T-Mobile). The upper left corner also reveals this device supports Verizon’s LTE network.
Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 Releasing at AT&T in November, Cyan Too
AT&T just announced the addition of the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 to its fall lineup. Both phones will run on AT&T’s 4G LTE network and are planned to be made available from AT&T in November. Pricing was not mentioned. The good news is that the Nokia Lumia 920 will come in cyan!
Hoping For Better Notifications in Nokia Lumia 920 and Windows Phone 8
Nokia Lumia and other Windows Phone devices get notifications that appear on top, but if you miss them, they’re gone. There’s no way to see a list of all previous notifications. It can be argued that live tiles on the home screen *is* the notification center, but I think there’s room for improvement. I hope Windows Phone 8 brings an improved notification experience on the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820.
Official Nokia Lumia 920, Lumia 820 Pricing and Availability Revealed
The Nokia Lumia 920 will be sold in Italy for 599 Euros ($772 USD) and the Nokia Lumia 820 for 499 Euros ($643 USD). They will be available in mid-November with three operators. This info comes straight from a press release sent by Nokia Italy. Pricing and availability vary in different regions, but this gives us a better idea of how much they’ll cost elsewhere.
EE to Sell Nokia Lumia 820 and Nokia Lumia 920 with LTE
The UK’s first mobile 4G network, EE, just showed off some of the 4G-enabled devices that will be supported. The Nokia Lumia 820 and Nokia Lumia 920 are part of the group. 4G LTE will cover 16 cities in the UK by the end of 2012, promising downloads five times faster than 3G.
