Want the Nokia Lumia 800 Entertainment Bundle, but don’t live near a Microsoft retail store? Well, now you can buy it at the Microsoft online store. It’s available in Black or Magenta for $899. It’s an insane price, but doesn’t seem so bad if you actually calculate the total cost of buying the devices in the bundle separately.

The Nokia Lumia 800 Entertainment Bundle officially goes on display February 26th at Microsoft stores, but you can buy one now if you simply ask. The $899 price tag is a little high, so I’m curious how well the bundle will sell. The Nokia Lumia 800 will be unlocked and contract-free, supporting AT&T’s 3G network. To be more specific, it supports WCDMA/HSPA at 850/1900/2100.

2 Travelers with Nokia Lumia 800 on a Social Media Experiment

post thumbnail

We learned more about Nokia’s activities during Social Media Week at a press conference here in New York City. One thing that got my attention is a sponsored social experiment: Can man live on Social Media alone? Two travelers equipped with nothing but a Nokia Lumia 800 and the clothes on their back will rely on social media and public’s goodwill to provide them with food, lodging, clothes and transport for 5 days. Will they survive?

You May Hit Trouble on Your 6th Windows Phone Device

post thumbnail

The cyan Nokia Lumia 800 I recently unboxed was my 6th Windows Phone device. How did I know? I was unable to download any apps from the Marketplace because of this error. It looks like we are only allowed to associate our Windows Live ID with 5 phones. If you don’t manually remove your previous phones from your account settings, you won’t be able to download new apps on your 6th phone.

Not only does Rogers Canada get the low price of about $250 outright for Nokia Lumia 710, but they also get a pentaband version. This means the phone will work on any 3G GSM network in the world once it is unlocked. HowardForums user, ali123, purchased one today from Rogers (850/1900MHz), got an unlock code, and started using it with WIND Mobile (1700MHz). Video after the jump.
